Most everyday writing pens are water-based inks, which make these easy to remove from fabric. In most cases, you only need laundry detergent and warm water to remove. For tougher stains, consider using a pre-treatment before running through the washing machine.

Steps

Earlier the better. Grab a few paper towels and press firmly on against the fabric soaking up as much ink as you can.

Place a fresh paper towel under the fabric with the stain

Spray the fabric with the hairspray until the fabric is saturated and the ink starts to raise.

Put the fabric in the wash. (Do not dry until ink has disappeared)
